The Songs of Robert Burns

by Maria Thomas
(USA)

Front Copyright Page Signature?

My Book is black leather bound with Gold lettering. Copyright Bayley & Ferguson Glasgow 1896. The pages are in great shape no tearing or damage. The cover is in very bad shape mostly because the spine is broken. There is a dedication inside dated 1896. There is a Robert Burns signature in under the front plate. It is definitely a signature as there are dents in the paper. Whether it is actually R Burns would need to be proven.

My father's family came over from Scotland many moons ago this was among my grandfather’s possessions.

I followed all your suggestions for finding out about my book, didn't get too far and will go to get an appraisal. However, before I do I am curious to hear if anyone has seen this volume?

Thank you for any insight you can give

Maria
