I did a little on-line research and found out that the book was originally published in 1859 by Scribner's.
There was a copy of that edition for sale for $225. Your copy, published later by Anson Randolph, is a least a second or later edition but there was one for sale for $60.00.
Surprisingly, the book is still in print in a 2007 paperback edition so it must have historical value. Good eye!
