Texas Book Festival 2008

It's fall! Texas Book Festival time is approaching. Nov 1st and Nov 2nd to be exact. Each year Jim and I start planning our trip to Austin in September and October.

We go to the Texas Book Festival web site and start looking at the authors who will be attending.

There are always a great number of authors attending so it takes a while to determine what books to take along and which we need to buy on the internet or look for in the used book stores.

For those of you thinking about attending the Festival:

This will be our 11th straight year attending the Book Festival. We attend in order to:

This year as we look at the list of authors, there's several we know who have attended many times before. Such as Texas mystery authors:

Rick Riordan
Joe Lansdale
David Liss

And history writer:

H. W. Brands

Another famous and currently hot mystery writer who hasn't been before is

Chrisopher Reich

These are all award winning authors who have written a number of books.
