i have a blue and orange hardcover copy of The Job by Sinclair Lewis published Feb 1917, by Grosset &Dunlap, copyright, 1917 by harper & bros in very good condition no dust jacket, how can i find out what it is worth, without jumping through hoops, as i have done all day. Sinclair Lewis Books
by: Bob

Thanks for the submission and attaching a picture of the books. That helps me identify them and get a better idea of their condition.

Your first editions, Main Street, Dodsworth and Babbitt will be worth the most. Possibly a few hundred dollars each. The value would be much more if they had dust jackets - possibly $1000+.

Books that were published after about 1930 really need a dust jacket to have substantial value. So the Ann Vickers and Dodsworth will be discounted because they don't have them.

Elmer Gantry and Arrowsmith, later printings, might be worth $30 - 60.

I recommend you look closely at the books offered on ABE to see how your books compare. And you might want to visit a rare book dealer for more advice.
