Robert Crais - Author of the Famous Elvis Cole Novels

Robert Crais was born in 1954 and was raised by his blue collar family by the Mississipi. Crais was inspired by Raymond Chandler’s The Little Sister at 15 years of age. Crais spent many years as an amateur film-maker and wrote short fiction stories.
He eventually went to Hollywood in 1976 and was hired to write scripts for famous television shows such as Miami Vice.
His novel The Monkey's Raincoat was selected as one of the 100 Favorite Mysteries of the Century by the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association. It was a paperback original which was later published as a hardcover edition.
His recent books have reached the top ten on the best seller lists. His third book, Lullaby Town is the most expensive of his books. I'm not sure exactly why. Jim thought that he heard some of the first printing were accidently damaged or destroyed. His books and their prices are shown below for signed fine/fine copies. Mr. Crais frequently tours to promote and sign his books.
