Michael Connelly - Edgar Award Winning Mystery Author
Michael Connelly won the Edgar for Best First Novel in 1993. The book was The Black Echo. Sadly, I don't own this book. I tried to buy it on EBay in 1999. I didn't bid quite high enough - it went for about $75. Today in Dec. 2007, the true signed first (with the blue advertising band) will cost you $350 or more.
The protagonist or main character is Harry Bosch. Since the first book, Harry Bosch has appeared in 12 more books. Mr. Connelly has written a total of 18 novels since 1992 - at least one per year.
In addition to the Edgar for Black Echo, five of his other books have won major mystery awards. He is definitely one of the genre's superstars.
Jim and I got books signed by him in 2002 at the Bouchercon and in Nov. 2007 at the Texas Book Festival.
