Macavity Awards for Mystery Books
The Macavity Awards were named after the "mystery cat" in T.S. Eliots's book Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. Members of Mystery Readers International nominate and vote on their favorite mysteries each year. Mystery Readers International publishes four issues each year of Mystery Readers Journal.
