Locus Science Fiction and Fantasy Awards

The Locus Science Fiction and Fantasy Awards are determined each year by the readers of Locus magazine.  Each February Locus publishes a reading list of books published the previous year and sends out ballots.  Readers vote for five books or works in each category.  The top vote-getter in each category is announced at a banquet in Seattle in July.

Our interest is mainly in the Locus Science Fiction and Fantasy Awards and in the Best First Novel Awards.

Here are lists of the winners from the late '70s and early '80s.
