Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities

This book was given to me by my mom after my dad had past away. In WWII he served in the merchant marines. My dad was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York so I am under the assumption that is where he purchased it.

I don't know when he got the book but here is a short discription of it.

It has on the front below the title MacMillan's Pocket Classics.
First page-title
Second and third page-a complete list of Macmillan's Pocket American and English Classics, listed as cloth and for 25 cents.
Forth page- a stamp (a M over a M Co.)
Fifth page-a black and white picture, typed at bottom of picture (Gadshill Place, where Dickens Lived, 1856-1870)
Sixth page- Title, by Charles Dickens, edited with introduction and notes by Huber Gray Buehler head master and Lawrence Mason, master in English in the Hotchkiss School, Lakeville, Conn. New York The Macmillan Company, London: Macmillan & Co., Ltd. 1918, all rights reserved
Seventh page-Copyright, 1906 By the Macmillan Company

Anyway there are many more little details to this book, but if this gives anyone a starting point to maybe tell me more about this book and a possible value I would greatly appreciate it.

If you think you can possibly help and would like some pictures I will try to get some but I do not have a great camera so I don't know how they will show.
Sincerely,
Joy
