Barry Awards for Mystery Books

The Barry Awards are mystery awards sponsored byDeadly Pleasures, a mystery magazine ... in publication since 1995.The magazine is published four times a year.

The awards are named after Barry Gardiner, a respected fan reviewer, who had an untimely death.

In 2007, Mystery News, a Black Raven Press publication began cosponsoring the awards. An awards committee accepts books for review from publishers, authors and fans.

In addition to a Best Novel and Best First Novel ... there are categories for Best British Novel and Best Thriller.

The 2010 winners will be announced at the BoucherCon which takes place in San Francisco from Oct 14-17.
