Barry Awards for Mystery Books

The Barry Awards are mystery awards sponsored by Deadly Pleasures a mystery magazine ... in publication since 1995.The magazine is published four times a year.

The awards are named after Barry Gardiner, a respected fan reviewer, who had an untimely death.

In 2007, Mystery News, a Black Raven Press publication began cosponsoring the awards. An awards committee accepts books for review from publishers, authors and fans.

In addition to a Best Novel and Best First Novel ... there are categories for Best British Novel and Best Thriller.
