Anthony Awards for Mystery
The Anthony Awards are given out each year at the BoucherCon convention. It takes place in late September or October.
The Anthony Awards and the convention are both named for Anthony Boucher.
Mr. Boucher, born in 1911, was not only a writer of mystery and science ... but also was a major reviewer and critic and even had a radio career in the 1940s. He died in 1968.
The first convention was held in 1970. The mystery awards in his name first began in 1986.
The Anthony Awards will be presented in San Francisco at the 2010 BoucherCon which is from October 14-17.
